Director of Client Services – Senior Home Care Leadership with Heart

Location: Jenkintown, PA (On-Site Only)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Lead with Compassion. Operate with Precision. Impact Lives Daily.

Visiting Angels – a trusted leader in private, non-medical home care – is looking for an empathetic, emotionally intelligent, and results-driven Director of Client Services to lead and support our care operations from our Jenkintown office.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of human connection and operational excellence. You’ll manage and mentor a team of experienced Client Care Managers, Wellness Professionals (RNs/MSWs), and Client Service Coordinators, ensuring we consistently deliver high-quality, compassionate care to the seniors who count on us every day.

This role requires in-office presence and is not remote.

Who You Are:

You’re a seasoned leader with deep project management and customer service experience—ideally within a healthcare, home care, hospital, or senior living environment. You’re equally comfortable navigating high-stakes operational decisions as you are having a heartfelt conversation with a worried family member. You think strategically, act urgently, and lead with empathy.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead with heart and purpose. Guide a high-performing team of 4–5 Client Care Managers and a Wellness team comprised of RNs and MSWs. Set the tone for a compassionate, responsive, and client-centered culture.

  • Ensure seamless care delivery. Oversee client scheduling, caregiver staffing, case supervision, and service continuity to maintain the highest standards of reliability and satisfaction.

  • Champion client and caregiver satisfaction. Proactively solicit feedback, monitor experience metrics, and take action to ensure both clients and caregivers feel supported and valued.

  • Be a steady hand in urgent situations. Step in to staff emergency cases when needed and lead calmly through unpredictable or emotionally charged scenarios.

  • Streamline operations. Identify patterns, solve root causes, and build efficient systems that reduce reactivity and increase consistency.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally. Partner with our sales and marketing leadership, wellness team, and on-call operations to build a tightly integrated care delivery engine.

  • Support 24/7 excellence. Participate in senior on-call rotation (approx. every 2–3 weeks) to help resolve escalated issues with thoughtfulness and poise.

  • Promote regulatory compliance and quality care. Ensure adherence to policies, documentation, and healthcare standards.

What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of progressive experience in operations, client service, healthcare coordination, or senior project management roles.

  • Prior leadership of teams in high-pressure service environments such as home care, hospitals, senior living, or care-focused call centers.

  • A proven ability to mentor and manage managers, nurture empathy-based client relationships, and keep your team aligned, engaged, and accountable.

  • Strong skills in process design, workflow optimization, and project management.

  • Emotional resilience and a calm presence under pressure—you don’t just “put out fires,” you prevent them.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and the diplomacy to manage difficult conversations with compassion and clarity.

  • Strong technical fluency with Microsoft Office and healthcare scheduling or CRM systems.

  • A flexible, team-first mindset and the willingness to step up when others need help—even on evenings or weekends.

  • A deep appreciation for the trust families place in us and a strong commitment to our “Client First” philosophy.

Why Join Visiting Angels?

Because here, your work truly matters. You’ll be part of a mission-driven organization where every decision starts with empathy, and every day brings an opportunity to improve someone’s life. You won’t just manage teams—you’ll shape lives, one family at a time.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
